At Attain, your contribution will help us build a more equitable and efficient data sharing ecosystem—whether helping consumers access modern financial services or businesses leverage data to achieve better outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with hands-on leaders and mission-driven individuals everyday.

What you’ll do

• Legal Consultation: Support Attain’s internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters as our business grows, by identifying and mitigating risks, proposing solutions and establishing processes
• Contract Management: Support necessary internal teams through the variety of vendor agreements and contracts relevant to internal and external relationships
• Intellectual Property Protection: Protect Attain’s intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and other owned internal thought leadership
• Compliance Policy and Procedure Management: Develop and implement a robust compliance program, including policies, procedures, and controls, to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Regulatory Relationship Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, serving as the main point of contact for compliance-related matters
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in applicable laws and regulations and ensure the organization's compliance with them. Proactively identify compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Monitoring and Auditing: Establish monitoring and auditing mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and identify areas for improvement. Conduct regular compliance audits and investigations as necessary
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete records of compliance activities, incidents, and remediation efforts
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent interpretation and application of compliance requirements across the organization

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience with an in-house legal team or law firm
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field and a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, as well as an active membership in a state bar association
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR, SOX, CCPA, etc.
• Experience in conducting compliance audits, investigations, and remediation efforts
• Excellent understanding of compliance risk management, including the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex issues
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
