About the Role
As our first Business Development Representative, you'll support our Senior AE and a growing team around growing pipeline into new markets and deepening our presence in existing markets. You'll be responsible for prospecting, research, account-mapping, and outbound. As your skillset expands, you will have quick authority to lead and close inbound and mid-market opportunities. We sell into multiple personas, our markets our distinct, and you will learn and develop your toolkit quickly with strong mentors.
What You'll Do
- Support the full sales cycle. Be the eyes and ears for the AEs - helping them understand organizational structures, buyer personas, and value propositions by industry and market
- Help build and maintain a research prospect to support effective and efficient discovery. We want to take what we think we know and accelerate those instincts to drive more effective targeting, creating early alignment with decision makers within key accounts.
- Support pipeline creation. We have ambitious goals, and you will be responsible for helping drive new qualified pipeline as we enter new markets. Prior familiarity with CRM systems is preferred but not required.
- Maintain outbound efforts. We work with anchor enterprise logos in several of our key markets, and have a unique opportunity for expansion. Employers need to know who we are, and you will be a key part of unlocking those opportunities.
Who You Are
- Ambitious and Willing to Learn: Prior sales experience is a plus but not required. Unconventional candidates are encouraged to apply.

- You Love Cities: We operate in America's biggest cities. Coming into this job with a love of cities - how they work, what makes them work, and how transit makes them better is a plus.
- Based in San Francisco and willing to work in-person: Our Senior AE is San Francisco-based. Occasional travel required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $60,000-$80,000 annually
- Commission on qualified pipeline created (annually + quarterly incentives)
- Total estimated on-target earnings: $100,000-$125,000 annually
