Who we are
Finofo is an AI-native tech company based in Calgary that streamlines Accounts Payables (AP) processing for accountants. We're not legacy software with AI bolted on—we're built AI-first from the ground up. AP teams at mid-sized companies are drowning in invoices—manually entering data, chasing approvals, fixing errors, and juggling multiple tools that don't talk to each other.
The problem looks solved, but it's not. Existing AP automation tech sucks. Companies have "automation" and they're still doing manual work. We use AI to handle invoice-to-payment so companies don't need to keep hiring AP staff just to keep up.
Why This Role
Most seed stage AI companies are scrambling for a runway while hunting for product-market fit. Many software companies still sell “seats” with a nice to have product that gets ripped out when budgets fade in down markets, or the ROI is speculative. We provide a clear and objective ROI to the buyer. We sell results-as-a-service - this is how software is bought today.
We are backed by Desjardins and US VCs with real runway, a sizable team, and healthy inbound pipeline. Companies are seeking us out because their current "automation" still has them buried in manual work.

You won't be:

You will be:
- Closing deals that fuel our growth
- Shaping how we sell, not just who we reach

The Role
You're a deal maker who knows how to qualify hard and close smart. In addition to sourcing your own deals, you will receive qualified leads from inbound marketing and the SDR, and you'll take prospects on the journey from discovery to “closed won”. You'll run discovery calls, conduct demos, manage accounts, and close $15K–$50K deals with CFOs, Controllers, and Finance Directors at mid-market Canadian companies.
You own:
- Account Planning: Excel at account research and prep before discoveries - we use AI to speed this up and want your input to make it more scalable.
- Discovery calls: By the end of this call you can judge if you have a deal or doozer.
- Demos: Showcase how we solve their specific pain
- Deal qualification: You know when to push and when to walk away
- Account management: You are attentive to the needs of customers
- Pipeline velocity: You track your funnel and find ways to shrink the sales cycle
- The full sales cycle: From prospecting to closed won, or seldom lost

What we expect
Metrics:
- Prospecting: 7 self-sourced demo calls/month
- Close deals: ACV of $20K - $80K
- Pipeline management: Keep your CRM spotless and your deals moving
Profile:
- 3+ years of AE or closing experience in B2B sales
- Background as a hunter - you grew up prospecting and that discipline is still sharp
- Track record of quickly closing deals in $20K - $100K range
- Elite at qualification - you know how to uncover pain, budget, authority, and timing
- Natural closer - you find creative ways to get deals across the line
- Concise and ruthless with your time - no fluff, no wasted motion
- Wants to maximize compensation - you're here to earn, not coast
