The Role

We're seeking a Founding Marketer to architect Boom's brand identity and growth engine from the ground up. You'll work directly with our CEO (Steven Glod) and COO (Chris Weaver) to craft our narrative, establish market presence, and drive qualified deal flow through strategic marketing initiatives.

This role requires both creative vision and analytical rigor—you'll build the brand that differentiates us in financial services while executing performance-driven campaigns that generate measurable business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Brand & Narrative Development

  • Craft Boom's distinctive brand identity to stand out in traditional M&A/financial services
  • Develop compelling messaging that resonates with business owners, buyers, and industry stakeholders
  • Establish brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity across all touchpoints

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Create high-impact content across video, email, social, blog, and emerging channels
  • Transform founder expertise and customer success stories into scalable content assets
  • Edit and produce video content (founder content, case studies, product demos) for rapid deployment

Growth Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Design and execute multi-channel acquisition strategies (LinkedIn, email, paid media, SEO, outbound)
  • Build and optimize conversion funnels for both sellers and buyers
  • Run systematic growth experiments with clear measurement frameworks

Digital Properties & Conversion

  • Create and optimize landing pages for campaigns, verticals, and partner programs
  • Build marketing automation workflows and lead nurturing sequences
  • Implement analytics and attribution systems to measure performance

What You Bring

Strategic Marketing Expertise

  • 3-5+ years in full-stack marketing roles, preferably at early-stage B2B companies
  • Proven track record building brands and driving growth in complex, high-consideration verticals
  • Experience with financial services, SMB markets, or M&A sectors strongly preferred

Execution Excellence

  • Hands-on proficiency with marketing tools (HubSpot, Webflow, video editing software, social platforms)
  • Ability to create, edit, and publish content rapidly across formats
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and moving from strategy to tactical execution seamlessly

Mindset & Approach

  • Brand-led thinking with performance accountability—you understand that great brands drive efficient growth
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a founding team environment
  • Scrappy resourcefulness—you can create impact without large budgets or teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to business owners, particularly in traditional industries
  • Understanding of M&A processes, private equity, or business valuation concepts
  • Track record launching B2B companies or products in regulated industries
  • Video production and editing capabilities
  • Marketing automation and lead scoring experience

Compensation

  • Base Salary - $120K - $180K
  • Bonus - $25-75K
